Job description:

The Team at the Department of Health Tasmania, working within the Educator State Operation Centre, plays a vital role in supporting statewide health operations through education, coordination, and workforce capability development.

The Team:

 The team delivers timely training, guidance, and operational support to ensure staff are prepared to respond effectively to service demands and emerging health priorities. Through collaboration, adaptability, and a strong focus on quality and safety, the team contributes to maintaining a skilled, informed, and resilient health workforce across Tasmania.

The Role:

The Educator State Operation Centre (SOC) will work with the Coordinator Registered Training Organisation Compliance to develop evidenced based assessment tools to support a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment process.

You will need to:

  • In consultation with the Senior Manager, Education and Professional Development and the Coordinator RTO Compliance, the incumbent will design, implement, manage and evaluate accredited training programs within the State Operations Centre.
  • Prepare, conduct and document both training delivery and assessment procedures, using approved training delivery plans.
  • Design and execute appropriate assessment systems and tools to measure the quality of training provided to SOC staff, and report on outcomes.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 3 October 2027.

*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $107,899 to $122,292 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

Eligibility:

  • Extensive experience in Ambulance call-taking and dispatch
  • Relevant qualifications in Ambulance call-taking and dispatch
