Job description:

As a Hospital Aide on Ward 7A, you will be a part of a dynamic, highly skilled and compassionate team dedicated to delivering holistic care to patients with both acute and chronic conditions.

Ward 7A Medical Specialities is a 20-bed medical sub-speciality ward providing care across six key specialities:

  • Acute Stroke Unit
  • Gastroenterology
  • Renal Medicine
  • Endocrinology
  • Rheumatology
  • Neurology

The Role:

As a Hospital Aide on Ward 7A, you will be a part of a dynamic, highly skilled and compassionate team dedicated to delivering holistic care to patients with both acute and chronic conditions.  We value the provision of high-quality person-centred care with empathy, respect and compassion, diverse and specialised skills with a focus of continually learning and teaching and collaboration across disciplines. The role of the Hospital Aide is an indirect role but it vital for supporting the team and ensuring patient centred outcomes are achieved. 

You will need to:

  • Clean, maintain and sterilise work areas and ward equipment within infection control guidelines.
  • Provide a communication network between departments including delivery and collection service as required.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and staff.

Details of appointment:

Multiple permanent shift worker (fully rotational) positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $57,130 to $62,486 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
