Job description:

Within a Primary Health Care framework and in accordance with Agency policies, provide efficient and effective administrative support to services within the King Island Hospital and Health Centre.

The Team:

The King Island Hospital and Health Centre, is a facility based on the Bass Strait Island, King Island, that provides health and aged care services to the local community. It includes a 24/7 emergency service, inpatient beds, residential aged care beds. A recent redevelopment has aimed to modernise the centre to handle a broader range of inpatient, primary, and community care needs. The administrative team consists of a Senior Admin officer, Band 2 roles and ward clerk who work in a close knot team under the direction of senior management. 

The Role:

The administration team is responsible for front reception as well as a broad range of administrative tasks to provide efficient and effective support to all services within the KIHHC. 

You will need:

* Provide professional and polite information service at facility reception

* Enter data and scanning of patient files 

Administrative support to senior leadership team

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 32 hours per fortnight, commencing 5 January 2026.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
