Job description:

The Outpatient Central Services team is a dynamic, statewide unit supporting the delivery of efficient, patient-centred outpatient care.

The Team:

The Outpatient Central Services team is a dynamic, statewide unit supporting the delivery of efficient, patient-centred outpatient care. As part of the Outpatient Transformation Program, the team streamlines administrative processes, enhances communication with patients, and improves referral and appointment management. Operating from Cambridge Park, they handle thousands of calls and referrals daily, helping reduce missed appointments and freeing up clinical staff to focus on care delivery

The Role:

Provide effective leadership and advice in relation to operational processes, information management and seek to identify opportunities to drive improvements in administrative processes that support the effective and efficient administrative function of the Outpatient Central Services team.

Provide high-level support and advice to the Statewide Outpatient Administration Manager as well as providing leadership, management, advice and support to the administrative and wider team, including ensuring the continuity and conformity of service delivery standards and new administrative support services processes by monitoring outcomes.

You will need to:

  • Manage the administrative staff for the Outpatient Central Services team while supporting sound and innovative business processes associated with the workload.  
  • Undertake periodic review of clerical procedures to ensure innovation and best practices are maintained to provide compliance with legislation, Agency and Department of Health (DoH) policy requirements.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures, in line with agency strategic direction, that relate to the administrative aspects of the Outpatient Central Services. Ensure all data is accurate in accordance with state and national data requirements.  Undertake all aspects of the role (including report generation) from all IT systems and phone systems utilised within the Outpatient Central Services.

Details of appointment:

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $107,899 to $122,292 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
