The Team:
The Community Administration Team is a dedicated group of specialised administrative and reception staff who provide high-level support to services and clients accessing the Community Health Centres. These centres play a vital role in improving access to healthcare within local communities by offering additional treatment and support services.
As part of the Royal Hobart Hospital—Tasmania’s largest hospital—the Community Health Centres deliver a broad range of programs, including Community Nursing, Community Physiotherapy, Mental Health Services, and other outpatient services.
We also support Non-Government Organisations and community groups by facilitating access to rooms and shared facilities, strengthening our role in local health and wellbeing.
All services work collaboratively to deliver high-quality healthcare with a strong focus on achieving positive outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the wider Tasmanian community.
The Role:
The Sub- acute, Aged and Community Service (SAACS) stream is responsible for the administrative and facility support for the community-based health facilities. Hospitals South Clinics and services that operate from these facilities along with non-government and non-health tenants. The Team Leader - Community Administration and Facilities position provides supervision, support and on-going training to Administration staff in the day-to-day operations of all of the Community based Health facilities.
You will need to:
- Provide day-to-day rostering, training and supervision of admin staff working in the community, ensuring that service delivery standards, service objectives and strategies are understood, implemented, and maintained.
- Coordinate and mange bookings for Clarence, Glenorchy and other Health Centres meeting rooms, telehealth facilities for staff and community members and ordering, reconciliation, and distribution of cleaning, clinical and administrative supplies at Clarence and Glenorchy Health Centres.
- Screen and process public and staff enquiries for the Community Health Centres and provide relevant information.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
- You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
