Job description:

Provide recruitment support to frontline and corporate services within the Department of Health

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the People and Culture team within the Department of Health (DoH) — the largest and most dynamic government agency. The role offers the chance to build meaningful relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and contribute to impactful work across the department.

The Role:

As a member of People and Culture, perform multiple and diverse tasks associated with recruitment processes for the DoH you will:

  • Provide advice and assistance to managers and staff on a diverse range of human resource services, specifically those associated with recruitment matters.

  • Manage and monitor recruitment processes to ensure selections are undertaken in a timely manner; liaise with managers and selection panels to ensure timely completion and submission of selection reports and job requests. 

  • Prepare recruitment related correspondence, process instruments of appointment and assist with recruitment and vacancy filling requests in accordance with established processes and procedures.

  • Assist with establishment maintenance.

  • Actively participate in staff training and development and continuous quality improvement activities.

Details of appointment:

fixed term, full time, day worker, position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing ASAP until 20 September 2026

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
