The Team:
The Payroll North West Team is located at the TasTAFE in Burnie and forms part of the broader Statewide Payroll Team. Our main focus is providing support to managers and clients on a range of payroll functions.
The Role:
As a member of Human Resource Services team, we perform multiple and diverse tasks associated with recruitment and payroll processes for the Department of Health (DoH).
You will need to:
- Provide advice and assistance to managers and staff on a diverse range of human resource services, specifically those associated with payroll and recruitment matters.
- Undertake the accurate, efficient, and effective processing of all transactions relating to the payment of salaries, including new employments, terminations, and all personnel movements, on a day to day basis.
- Accurately interpret and apply Award provisions in calculating and coding timesheets and liaise with managers and staff to resolve any issues arising.

Details of appointment:
Multiple fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible and for a period of 12 months.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
