The Team:
A part-time Diversional Therapy Assistant is required to support our Wynyard Adult Day Centre team. If you love working with people in the community to support them to maintain wellness in a social environment, this position will suit you. The Adult Day Centre focuses on working with clients to develop and provide client focused activities, social engagement and bus outings to enhance their wellbeing and social connection as well as supporting carers. You will work with a small team to deliver exceptional experiences for our clients.
The Role:
The Adult Day Centres are a service within the Primary Health Team North West, working with clients to identify their needs, develop and provide them with social engagement and support, with a wellness and reablement focus, in a centre environment. Diversional Therapy Assistants contribute to, develop and deliver the Centre program, in collaboration with clients and coordinator, maintain client records, work with clients to develop individual care plans and are expected to abide by the care standards prescribed by Adult Day Centre funding programs.
You will need:
Strong desire to work with community clients in a social environment
Be adaptable and team focused
Proficient computer skills and ability to learn computer systems required for the position

Details of appointment:
Permanent part time, day worker position, working 12.5 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $67,193 to $72,126 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

Medium Rigid (MR) class Licence and Ancillary Certificate (for driving Public Passenger vehicles).
