Job description:

The Department of Health are seeking a highly self-motivated Administrative Officer to join the Women's & Children's Services team within the Royal Hobart Hospital.

The Team:

Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania’s largest hospital, and the Women's & Children's Services within the RHH are the tertiary referral services in Tasmania. As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions.  All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our women, children and families, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

The Role:

Manage and coordinate the provision of a complete range of efficient and effective office management support services for the Nurse and Midwifery Managers (NUM/MUM), ensuring sensitive and confidential handling of all enquiries.
 
As a team member, actively support the delivery of a comprehensive range of administrative and service operation functions and facilitate effective communication processes to and from the office.

You will need:

  • Broad experience in office management, administrative and executive support skills, with a specific knowledge of human resource management including recruitment, onboarding of staff and supporting managers with maintenance of workforce processes.   
  • Effective written and oral communication skills and a demonstrated ability to problem solve as well as escalate as required.
  • Demonstrated capacity to operate proficiently in a technological environment, including a high level of skills in the use of a range of computer applications.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
