Job description:

The Admissions Team delivers frontline administrative support across all admission locations, including the Ambulatory Care Centre, Nephrology South, and K7 Maternity Wards. We ensure a smooth and efficient admission process to support patient care and hospital operations.

The Team:

The Admissions Team delivers frontline administrative support across all admission locations, including the Ambulatory Care Centre, Nephrology South, and K7 Maternity Wards. We ensure a smooth and efficient admission process to support patient care and hospital operations.

The Role:

  • Communicate information in a timely manner to relevant persons, including responding to requests for information in accordance with the relevant legislation and policies.
  • Interview patients upon admission to ensure a complete financial and demographic profile is captured for each patient on the Patient Administration System (PAS) and enter information via rapid, accurate data entry.
  • Capture private and compensable patients for hospital revenue including the management of Inpatient Election documentation under the Healthcare Agreement.

You will need:

  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to interact with the public and staff at all levels and demonstrate effective interviewing techniques to capture accurate demographic and financial information.
  • Experience in and a demonstrated understanding of office management practices and procedures including computerised information systems and records management processes, together with accurate data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both individually and within a team-based environment to achieve organisational objectives that are subject to specific timeframes.

Details of appointment:

Permanent part time, shift worker not working weekends but working public holidays, working 75 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum pro rata. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
