The Role:
As an Enrolled Nurse (EN) on the West Coast, your work will have a tangible impact every day. You will support the Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) and Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high quality care in patients home and in clinic settings with informed clinical practice standards. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in building strong working relationships with staff and the community. Your ability to inspire, influence, and deliver clear messages will help ensure cohesive teamwork and high standards of care. At the Rosebery Community Health Centre, healthcare professionals from diverse backgrounds come together to serve the Townships and communities of the West Coast. We offer a wide range of services to support to the West Coast with the West Coast District Hospital in the nearby town of Queenstown which has as 24-hour Emergency response unit and inpatient ward. Patients can maintain their independence and receive primary health treatment in home.
The West Coast also has visiting services such as Radiology, Diabetic Clinics, Physiotherapy, and Podiatry. Our community services also include Community Nursing, Home Help/Personal Care, and Home Maintenance. Join us and make a meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of our community.

The Enrolled Nurse - Community:
- Works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife within the Community setting
- Delivers nursing care as delegated by the Registered Nurse, Clinical Nurse Consultant and Nurse Unit Manager
- Collaborates with members of the healthcare team to achieve effective healthcare outcomes.
- Accountable for the standard of nursing care provided and acts to rectify unsafe practices and/or unprofessional conduct.
- Practices in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia approved national competency standards for Enrolled Nurses, legislation, education, experience and organisational policy.
- Where applicable, exercise delegations in accordance with a range of Acts, Regulations, Awards, administrative authorities and functional arrangements as mandated by Statutory office holders including the Secretary and Head of State Service. The relevant Unit Manager can provide details to the occupant of delegations applicable to this position.
- Comply at all times with policy and protocol requirements, including those relating to mandatory education, training and assessment.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker not working weekends but working public holidays position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $70,980 to $78,179 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
Salary Packaging:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Regional Allowances
- Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of $3,699 per annum and an additional salary allowance of 10%

- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse
- Current Driver's Licence
- Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements)
