
The Team:
The Injury Management team at the Department of Health Tasmania is responsible for providing high level advice and working in partnership with business units to ensure effective management of workers compensation matters, injury management and return to work activities.
The Role:
The Administrative Assistant - Injury Management (IM) provides administrative and clerical support to IM staff and clients, including the coordination and processing of workers compensation claims, in-line with Agency policies and procedures, and the administration of electronic processes, whilst maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
You will need to:
- Undertake general administrative duties including the collection and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail, photocopying, collation and distribution of documents and correspondence, filing, scanning, and maintaining electronic records and information systems for the efficient operation of IM.
- Coordinate the uploading process of received workers compensation claims, including maintenance of the relevant database, and resolve basic queries.
- Provide routine advice, support, and assistance to the IM Team regarding workers compensation related administrative processes and procedures.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
