The Appointment Scheduling /Customer Support team offer the warm friendly reception to patients attending our Outpatient Clinics. We are a flexible and dynamic team providing a range of data entry and customer support services. We’re looking for motivated and hard-working staff to fill fixed term vacancies in our busy clinics. The Role:

  • Schedule appointments for clinics in accordance with clinic timetables and specific limitations that may apply to each clinic.
  • Process clinic alterations, additions and cancellations in liaison with clinic staff.
  • Register new patients and update demographic, clinical and financial data in the patient information system for all patients scheduled for clinic appointments.
  • Produce updated clinic lists and other system information as required.
  • Provide an friendly and efficient reception service for all patients presenting to the clinic.

You will need:

  • High level communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of professional staff within and outside the hospital, together with a proven ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate directly with patients in a tactful and diplomatic manner.
  • Knowledge of patient information management systems, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge, together with clerical experience in a health care setting, and knowledge of medical terminology.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in the operation of computerised patient information systems.

Details of appointment:

Multiple Fixed Term, part time, day worker positions working up to 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 3 November 2025.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 per annum pro rata. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
