
The Team:
The Specialist Palliative Care Service provides services across Southern Tasmania and comprises three streams i.e. JW Whittle Palliative Care Unit (inpatient setting) and the Community based and Hospital consult services.
We are a multidisciplinary team with a focus on patient centred care and individual need, with the unit of care being the patient and their family/carers.
The Role:
This admin role shall cover planned and unplanned leave across the inpatient and community teams, both located at the Repatriation Centre.
You will need:
- Previous experience in contemporary office management and reception functions with an understanding of medical terminology and the function of medical records.
- Comprehensive knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to the work area or the ability to acquire the same.
- Demonstrated advanced communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills and effective interview techniques, ensuring accurate demographic and financial information is captured when dealing with the public.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 months.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 per annum pro rata. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
