The Role:
The Administrative Assistant will, in accordance with primary health care principles, policies and legislative requirements:
- Provide a broad range of administrative, reception and clerical support to the Nurse Unit Manager and staff of Hellyer Community Nursing and Home Care Services at the Burnie Community Health Centre.
- Undertake duties such as the collection and distribution of incoming and outgoing documents and records, receiving and responding to referrals, provide telephone screening services as necessary, and maintaining electronic records and information systems.

- General administrative and clerical skills to undertake duties including the collection and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail; photocopying, collating and distributing documents and correspondence; filing, faxing, scanning; and maintaining electronic records and information systems for the efficient operation of the Centre.
- Efficient and effective reception service to support and maintain the efficient flow of information to and from Hellyer Community Health Home Care Service, the Community Nursing Service and other services such as Podiatry, Health Promotion, Smoking Cessation Clinics and Alcohol and Drug Services within the Centre.
- Efficient and effective telephone screening service as necessary ensuring confidential handling of enquiries and routine matters as required.

Details of appointment:
Permanent part time, day worker position, working 48 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
