
The Team:
Midlands Multipurpose Health Centre is located in Oatlands. Oatlands is a one-hour drive north of Hobart. The centre comprises residential aged care and sub-acute beds. It also has an urgent care centre. MMPHC is part of the Tasmanian Health Service and works to deliver excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
The Role:
- Cleaning duties throughout the centre
- Working as an assistant in the kitchen
- Working in and delivering a laundry service to the centre.
You will need
- Previous cleaning experience, preferably within a health care environment, or the ability to acquire same with the capacity to understand and safely operate catering, laundry and cleaning equipment, utensils and cleaning products.
- Knowledge of, and skill in, food presentation and delivery in accordance with Food Safety Legislation and correct dietary requirements.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Hospital and Aged Care routines, procedures and policies with an understanding of Work Health and Safety guidelines, infection control and continuous Quality Improvement or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.

Details of appointment:
Multiple fixed term, casual positions working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for a period of approximately 12 months.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $59,930 to $61,367 pro rata per annum + our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Plus 25% Casual Loading - Equivalent of $37.76 to $38.67 per hour.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
