The NWRH Theatre is a vibrant, supportive team consisting of four operating theatres providing Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, General Surgery, ENT, Endoscopy and Dental services. The Role:
The North West Regional Hospital are seeking a motivated Hospital Aide to provide exceptional support to their Operating Theatre. The successful Hospital Aide - Perioperative will:
- Maintain clean and hygienic surroundings to facilitate the control of infection in specialty areas, including decontaminating, sterilising and maintaining specialised equipment.
- Maintain adequate supplies (excluding drugs) to enable clinical staff to deliver a high standard of care to patients in specialty areas.
- Contribute to and participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
- Exercising reasonable care in the performance of duties consistent with the relevant Work Health and Safety legislation and hazard identification and reporting unsafe practices or acts that may endanger staff, patients and visitors.

You will need:
- Demonstrated ability to maintain the cleanliness of specialised equipment, and the environment according to infection control principles.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability and willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team promoting a harmonious working environment.
- Ability to undertake and plan daily duties with minimal supervision, with the capability to adapt to changing demands in the workplace.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 15 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $62,486 to $65,119 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
