The Team:

The Royal Hobart Hospital seeks a highly motivated and team orientated Enrolled Nurse for1A Oncology and Blood Services Outpatient Clinics Hobart, Tasmania. The 1A Oncology and Blood Services Outpatient Clinics at the Royal Hobart Hospital provides diagnosis and follow up care to patients with a cancer or a haematological diagnosis. Clinics held include medical oncology, malignant and non-malignant haematology, breast and gynae-oncology, radiation oncology, ear, nose & throat and oral & maxillofacial oncology and neuro-oncology. Also held are psychology, speech pathology and survivorship clinics that include colon and late effects.

The clinics, with their multi-disciplinary approach, not only support the patient but allow health professionals to deliver optimum clinical outcomes for patients and their families.  The team value positivity, making a difference, striving for excellence, adaptability, teamwork and kindness.   Working in Hobart offers an enviable lifestyle with short commutes, easy access to great beaches and national parks as well as great food and wine.

You will need:

  1. Sound knowledge of the principles of nursing care, procedures and practices.
  2. Demonstrated ability to practice in a manner that respects the right of individuals and groups.
  3. Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.

Details of appointment:

Permanent part time, day worker position, working 32 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $70,980 to $78,179 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: 

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse
  • Current Driver’s Licence

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a mental health setting.
