We offer an exciting and rewarding place to work, featuring contemporary, evidence-informed practise that sees our Allied Health Assistants working with our Allied Health Team and closely linked to the broader multidisciplinary team.
This important role will see you working within the Stroke Unit at the Launceston General Hospital. As an Allied Health Assistant in this team, you will need the skills to support the Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to provide patient centred care, and help clients reach their goals by delivering and supporting therapy programs. And we’ll be committed to seeing you thrive. We’ll look after you from the very beginning, ensuring you are fully welcomed into our team.

Details of Appointment: Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as we can onboard you
Salary: $67,193 to $70,993 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Relocation Assistance: Reimbursement for up to $2,000 of expenses incurred through relocating
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time and casual vacancies.
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the desirable criteria.
- Certificate IV in Health Service Assistance (Allied Health Assistance) or equivalent qualification
- Tertiary student of a relevant and approved allied health course of study at a recognised tertiary institution
