Job description:

Under supervision, and in accordance with Agency policy, legal, regulatory, and funded program requirements, the Health Care Assistant provides high quality care and support to community and/or facility-based clients and assists with a range of daily living activities that a person would normally do for themselves.

The Team:

Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Health Care Assistants and Diversional Therapists provide direct patient care, assist with activities of daily living and support residents. 

The Role:

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in both the emergency department and sub-acute in-patient ward and aged care to provide high quality patient care to a variety of patients with varying medical requirements in line with NHSQS and AGED CARE standards.

It would be preferable that the successful applicant has:

  • Ability to work independently as part of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Willingness to learn new skills, take on challenges and help foster a positive work culture. 
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living

Campbell Town Multi-Purpose Service:

  • Multipurpose facility with 24 hour emergency care, 6 sub-acute beds, 20 residential beds, Community Nursing, palliative care, same day infusion clinic.
  • Situated in the heart of Tasmania between Launceston and Hobart, within thriving heritage location of Campbell Town; a place renowned for its impressive selection of colonial buildings, masses of antique & specialty shops, all in the heart of the serene, unruffled waters of the Elizabeth River.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, shift worker position, working up to 30 hours per fortnight, commencing from the 1st of February 2025.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $62,486 to $65,119 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible

  • Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4%

  • Current Driver’s Licence (only applicable where the occupant is required to provide services to community based clients)
