The Team:
The North West Nutrition and Dietetic Department provides an acute, clinical service to a diverse range of people from birth to end of life who experience conditions which require nutritional intervention. We are looking for a Dietitian to fill a junior inpatient vacancy at the North West Regional Hospital in Burnie; you will work as part of a supportive team to manage your own inpatient caseload at the hospital and there will be opportunity to shadow the more experienced Senior Dietitians as they manage some of the more complex cases.

The Role:
We're looking for a passionate and motivated Dietitian to join our dynamic team on the stunning North West Coast
As an effective member of multidisciplinary teams, the Dietitian:
- Provides a professional clinical dietetic service to patients within the allocated clinical workload in accordance with organisational Policies, Best Practice Standards and the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) Code of Conduct.
- Contributes to the overall functioning of the Nutrition and Dietetic Service and other health teams and engages positively in the ongoing development of existing and new services.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term, full time, day worker, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from January 2025 until June 2025.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $73,834 to $111,364 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Union Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022
Salary Packaging:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
- Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by Dietitians Australia or overseas qualified dietitians will be required to complete Dietetic Skills Recognition (DSR) through Dietitians Australia
- Holds, or is eligible for, full membership with Dietitians Australia.
- Eligible to join the Accredited Practising Dietitian Program.
- Or where regulatory requirements exist, NDIS Q&S Commission Provider Registration Requirements
