Job description:

We are seeking Executive Assistant to provide high level administrative, executive, and secretarial support to the Clinical Director - Women’s and Children’s Services and assistance to Nursing and Midwifery Director - Women’s and Children’s Services and other members of the Department.

The Role:

Provides administrative and clerical support to the Clinical Director and Nursing and Midwifery Director of Womens and Childrens Services, and assistance to other members of the Department.

  • Minute/note taking, preparation of correspondence, organisation and scheduling of meetings and appointments
  • Provide assistance to senior departmental staff in the co-ordination and recruitment of medical, nursing and midwifery staff.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication systems, including ensuring the timely flow of information to and from the department with organisations within and external to Hospitals North.

The Team:

The Hospitals North Womens and Childrens Services Directorate consists of Maternity Services, Paediatric Services and the Sexual Assault and Forensic Examination (SAFE) Service. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working up to 22.8 hours per fortnight commencing from a mutually agreed date to until 2 January 2026.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

Allowances: 

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
