You can be a Speech Pathologist anywhere. What’s different about Tasmania is our culture and our lifestyle. You will be encouraged to be yourself, to learn, to grow and to develop meaning in your work. You will have a powerful connection to your patients, and the community will encourage your success. Our isolation helps drive a culture of creation and human connection, which feels both old fashioned and… like the only future worth pursuing.

Here you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to breath-taking coastlines, National Parks, and incredible fresh produce crafted by locals. After a hard day at work, you don’t have to sit in traffic for an hour. You decompress with a wander through our beautiful city or put on your boots and tell it to a mountain.

We offer an exciting and rewarding place to work, featuring contemporary, evidence-informed practise that sees our Speech Pathologists closely linked to the broader multidisciplinary team. We are a team of some 18 staff, a mix of passionate locals and new Tasmanian adventurers who will welcome your energy and experiences into the group dynamic. This position will be based with our Hospitals North Adult team and provide assessment and treatment to adult inpatient and outpatients.  And you’ll get to do this alongside highly accomplished Speechies with national and international experience to share, all while making a difference to the lives of a diverse and inclusive community.

We’ll look after you from the very beginning, ensuring you are fully welcomed into our ambitious and friendly culture. As an Allied Health group, we are dedicated to the development of our people and will work to help you to achieve your goals.
