Senior Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist – Permanent Full Time
Tasmanian Health Service – Northern Tasmania (Launceston)
To be Tasmanian is to pursue quality over quantity. We create, preserve, and protect the unusual. With quiet confidence, with passion and perseverance, we pursue the extraordinary. Could you be Tasmanian? Take a look at what some our team have to say: Occupational Therapy | Tasmania
You could be an Occupational Therapist anywhere. What’s different about Tasmania is our culture and our lifestyle. Our island home helps drive a culture of innovation and human connection, which feels both old fashioned and… like the only future worth pursuing.
Tasmania, Australia's only island state, offers unparalleled natural beauty and a luxurious lifestyle. Pursuing your health career in Tasmania’s public health system means building strong connections with colleagues and patients. It also means embracing a lifestyle where you can enjoy extraordinary experiences outside of work while making a significant impact on the community during work.
Tasmanians are connected to the land where we live, and to the stories of the people who have cared for this place for tens of thousands of years. Here is a story told by one OT who escaped a busy city life in search of something different: Skye Waddingham | Tasmanian
If you need any more convincing about Launceston and surrounds in our beautiful part of this incredible island, here it is Launceston & North | Where to Go - Discover Tasmania
The Role:
Our OT team is small enough for you to shape and influence your work and make a genuine impact every day. Yet, with more than 35 OTs, we are large enough for you to feel part of something important, somewhere you can belong and surround yourself with diversity, friendships, professional supports, and lifestyles to be envied.
As an integral member of our Inpatient Rehabilitation close-knit multi-disciplinary teams, you will play a leading role in delivering contemporary, evidence-informed practice and high-quality patient experiences. You will be looked upon as a clinical mentor and leader by others and you will continually advance OT services through your innovation. We’ll look after you from the very beginning, ensure you are fully inducted and welcomed into our world and set you up to thrive.
