Job description:

Seeking enthusiastic physiotherapists including new graduates, to join our team of rotational physiotherapists across the acute, subacute and community settings. We have a strong focus on professional and career development, supporting all members of the team as they work in a dynamic and innovative environment. The Role:

  • Within the Southern Agency Framework, and in accordance with Department Policy and Procedures, the Physiotherapist will:
  • Provide physiotherapy assessments and interventions to patients referred to the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) Physiotherapy Services.
  • Participate in relevant quality improvement activities to ensure safe and effective delivery of patient care.
  • Patient care is provided collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team across relevant areas of the Agency as required.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker (with on-call) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing in January 2025. 

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $71,441 to $107,878 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022

Allowances: 

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. 

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum

Benefits available to eligible candidates:

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.

  • Registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.

  • Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration.

*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
