Job description:

Department of Health (DoH) are seeking applications for the role of Creative Arts Worker for Youth Health South team. The team is passionate about providing a professional, evidenced based, and trauma informed service that is youth focused and inclusive.

The Role:

As part of a multidisciplinary team providing high quality health and wellbeing services to young people in the area of primary prevention and early intervention, the occupant:

  • Works with diverse individuals and groups of young people aged 12-24 years to promote health and wellbeing via creative arts and media.
  • Facilitates arts/health/support programs in collaboration with the Youth Health Team and other internal and external service providers.
  • Develops strategies for implementing and supporting creative health promotion and cultural development activities in collaboration with young people and other key partners.
  • Works in conjunction with the Manager, Clinical Lead and other members of the Youth Health team.

The Team:

Youth Health South is a multidisciplinary team working with vulnerable young people aged 12-24 years in Southern Tasmania. The team is passionate about providing a professional, evidenced based, and trauma informed service that is youth focused and inclusive. As part of this team the occupant will have access to:

  • A collaborative team environment
  • Ongoing professional development

Details of appointment:

Permanent part time, day worker position, working 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $95,393 to $100,067 per annum (pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
