The Role:
Maintain a high standard of specialised cleaning within the Operating Theatre complex.
- Perform specialised cleaning duties throughout the Theatre complex, including floor and wall maintenance in offices, wards, corridors, toilet blocks, change rooms and other designated areas.
- Perform specialised cleaning duties in the operating theatre rooms, including following infection control procedures and using specialised cleaning chemicals.
- Undertake special cleaning tasks, and other related duties, including removal of garbage, and collection/distribution of linen.
- Ensure equipment is used and maintained in the correct manner, and faults reported to enable corrective action to be taken.

As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
Details of appointment:
Multiple permanent full time & part time shift worker positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $58,184 to $59,580 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
