We are seeking a Manager - Clinical Pharmacy who will manage the provision of a safe and efficient clinical pharmacy service to inpatients at the relevant hospital in accordance with the practice frameworks established by the Statewide Pharmacy Manager - Clinical Pharmacy. Participate in the management of the pharmacy service at the Launceston General Hospital whilst supervising team members and providing leadership and performance management.

Manager – Clinical Pharmacy. Permanent Fulltime (1.0 FTE)

Launceston General Hospital, Northern Tasmania

The whole world needs you. You can be a clinical leader anywhere. What’s different about Tasmania is our culture and lifestyle.

Choosing to advance your pharmacy career in Tasmania means choosing connections with your colleagues and your patients. Our smaller teams mean you are looked to for expertise and get to influence the decisions about the development of our services. Your morning commutes don’t involve hours in traffic, and your time outside of work can be spent hiking, caring for the local environment, writing novels, learning to fly-fish, or taking part in the community.

We offer a rewarding place to work featuring contemporary, evidence-informed practise that sees our pharmacist closely linked to the broader multidisciplinary team. We are a team of some 100 staff, a mix of passionate locals and new Tasmanian adventurers who will welcome your energy and experiences into the group dynamic. Here, you can help shape the direction of pharmacy in Tasmania, and learn alongside highly accomplished colleagues, while making your unique contribution to the lives of our diverse community.

In this role, you will lead a team of dedicated health professionals at a 350-bed acute care hospital, participate in the management of hospital pharmacy services for Northern Tasmania and Statewide plus advocate for clinical pharmacy services within the broader health system.

Being an allied health professional is among the most meaningful careers in the world. We invite you to do it in a meaningful place.

For more information about becoming a pharmacist in Northern Tasmania, or to learn more about what we can do for you (relocation, salary benefits, development opportunities, etc.) please email or phone Tina Hodgetts, our Pharmacy Support Officer on 0476 554 505 or tina.hodgetts@ths.tas.gov.au .
