Job description:

Deliver contemporary rehabilitation interventions to maximise independence in occupational participation for community rehabilitation clients.

The Role:

  • Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team in the assessment, planning and delivery of rehabilitation Occupational Therapy (OT) services for clients and their carers referred to the Community Rehabilitation Unit (CRU) in Southern Tasmania.
  • Ensure best practice standards for OT services provided by the CRU and contribute to OT and CRU quality improvement projects.
  • Deliver contemporary rehabilitation interventions to maximise independence in occupational participation for community rehabilitation clients.

The CRU Team and Service:

  • The Community Rehabilitation Unit (CRU) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team and build and develop their skills and knowledge in rehabilitation.
  • This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a supportive interdisciplinary team with a focus on client centred goal setting, rehabilitation planning and program delivery.
  • CRU is an adult outpatient rehabilitation service working with clients with a diverse range of diagnostic conditions.
  • CRU clinicians work with clients to achieve their goals in our well-equipped centre and in the client’s home and community.
  • New graduate OT’s are encouraged to apply.
  • Regular professional supervision and support is provided.

  • CRU is located at the Repatriation Centre, 90 Davey Street, Hobart

Details of Appointment

Multiple permanent, full time and part time, day worker positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary:

$71,441 - $107,878 pro rata per annum + our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. 

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum
  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  • Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Occupational Board of Australia
  • Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia

  • Current Driver’s Licence
