The Role

The Nurse Unit Manager:

  • Provides leadership to Eastern Shore Community Nursing (ESCN), Community Continence Service (CCS) and Glamorgan Spring Bay Community Nursing Service (GSBCN).
  • Ensures the efficient and effective provision of care, based on clinical standards and best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework by coordinating the clinical, management, education and nursing research functions within ESCN, CCS and GSBCN.
  • Leads and manages the coordination of overall patient care and is responsible for managing the allocated human, material and financial resources for service delivery within the ESCN, CCS, GBSCN and the facilities of the Spring Bay and Swansea Community Health Centres.

Details of Appointment

Permanent, full time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours and commencement date may be negotiated with the successful applicant

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary 

$126,411 - $132,325 per annum + our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type.
  • Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum.
  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
  • Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People

  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications
