Job description:

• Contribute expertise to the development, implementation and evaluation of community development and health promotion programs primarily across the northern region of Tasmania. This includes supporting the Department of Health’s Public Health Unit in the implementation and evaluation of statewide programs, as required. • Facilitate the development of health promotion skills and capacities of individuals, groups and organisations by identifying training needs and contributing to awareness and learning programs. • Undertake a proactive role in advocating for and recommending healthy public policies and services which promote the wellbeing of individuals and communities and contribute to the improvement of the level and quality of health promotion interventions.

The role:

  • Contribute expertise to the development, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based health promotion, self management and early intervention programs primarily across the northern region of Tasmania. 
  • Facilitate the development of best practice in primary health care including developing the capacities of individuals, groups and Primary Health North services by identifying training needs and contributing to awareness and learning programs.
  • Undertake a proactive role in advocating for and recommending strategies to support the implementation of policies and relevant standards which promote the wellbeing of individuals and communities and contribute to the improvement of the level and quality of health interventions.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 6 May 2024 until 13 October 2024

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Salary: $104,756 - $118,730 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
