Our Community Youth Justice teams work with young people to reduce offending through restorative, rehabilitative, and community-based programs.

About the Role

As Team Leader, you will lead a team of practitioners delivering evidence-based interventions for justice-involved young people. You’ll provide day-to-day supervision, support complex case management, and promote professional development through coaching and reflective practice. Working collaboratively with courts, families, and service providers, you’ll help ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery that supports positive outcomes for young people.

Condition of Employment

  • Salary $123,717 to $134,336 pro rata per annum + 12% Superannuation
  • Classification: Allied Health Professional, Level 4
  • Award/ Agreement: Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Union Wages Agreement
  • Location: Hobart
  • Hours of Work: Permanent full-time day work, 76 hours per fortnight.

Applicants should be aware that for twelve (12) months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill any subsequent full-time or part-time vacancies in accordance with Employment Direction 1.

Essential Requirements

To be eligible, you must have:

  • Ability to obtain or already have a current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Employment Status) – Tasmania. Please note the cost of obtaining a RWVP is the responsibility of the individual
  • Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association
