This is a Department built entirely for children and young people and their communities. Our ultimate goal is to work together to ensure that every child and young person in Tasmania is known, safe, well and learning.
The child is at the centre of everything we do and the way we do it.
About Libraries Tasmania
Libraries Tasmania is a unique organisation, providing contemporary library and archives services to all Tasmanians. Libraries Tasmania is responsible for Tasmania’s public library network, the State Library and Archives of Tasmania and the Office of the State Archivist.
The public library network provides services across 47 locations statewide, from larger metropolitan libraries to regional community and prison libraries.
Services focus on developing literacy, building a statewide reading culture and supporting social, digital, civic and economic inclusion to improve the lives and wellbeing of all Tasmanians.
Our libraries are open more than 1,000 hours per week and welcome over 7,000 visitors a day.
About the Role
The Director Library Network role is part of the Libraries Tasmania executive team and provides strategic leadership across all Tasmanian public libraries.
