About the Role
Provide leadership and advice in line with current Departmental values, goals and priorities to ensure the implementation of system supports that assist in strengthening the understanding, pedagogical practices, curriculum delivery and assessment processes of Early Years from birth to kindergarten. The role will do this in collaboration with the Program Manager, developing and implementing policy, practice and professional learning resources to reflect comprehensive research and quality teaching practice.
This role requires a strong ability to research and synthesise current early childhood educational research, with a focus on applying these insights in alignment with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). It involves providing expert pedagogical advice and support to Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP) early years sites and the broader Education and Care Sector. A high-level understanding of DECYP’s Assessment Guide and Pedagogical Framework, and their application to the pre-compulsory school years, is essential.
Period of Appointment
ASAP for 2 years

Essential Requirements
- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)
- A registered teacher with full registration within the meaning of the Teachers Registration Act 2000.
