Job description:
To provide high level strategic leadership, direction and oversight of the people management function including the provision of best practice, contemporary workforce management and human resource related services to meet Agency objectives.

The role of Chief People Officer is an exciting opportunity to provide strategic leadership across people, culture and capability for the Department.
As a member of the Executive Committee, the CPO plays a pivotal role in shaping workforce strategy and delivering contemporary, best‑practice people management services that support organisational performance.
Key focus areas include:
- Strategic leadership of workforce management, organisational development and people systems
- Delivery of high‑level advice on complex people, culture and industrial matters
- Leading major reform initiatives to build capability, performance and workforce sustainability
- Oversight of industrial relations, workplace culture and WHS obligations
- Building strong partnerships across government and external stakeholders
To succeed in this role, you will be an accomplished leader with demonstrated experience leading a people and culture function in a complex organisation, and the ability to influence, engage, collaborate and deliver outcomes in a dynamic environment.
