Job description:
Provide quality service delivery in relation to complex ICT equipment and services using high level technical skills, including the implementation and management of small projects.

Duties
- Provide high level technical support, implementation, configuration, and maintenance of ICT equipment including maintenance of Standard Operating Environments (SOE), and other end user technologies.
- Administer and support ICT equipment by:
- Planning and implementing system and device upgrades.
- Reporting, tracking, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
- Conducting daily operations.
- Undertake project management and delivery of ICT projects.
- Provide specialised customer service and support following ITSM principles.
- Work with vendors and stakeholders to create effective solutions and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain documentation including operational procedures and information technology records.
- Mentor less experienced staff engaged in the delivery of components of systems, projects, or programs of work, particularly regarding the quality-of-service delivery and in meeting performance targets.
- Research and plan initiatives for new and emerging technologies that may provide a benefit to the Agency.
- May be required to undertake out-of-hours work at peak times and participate in an on-call roster.
Essential Requirements

The Head of the State Service has determined that a person nominated for appointment to this position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer. Any relevant serious criminal offence or repeated serious offences over any period, which are not mitigated by additional information, may provide grounds for declining an application for appointment. Such offences would include, but are not limited to:
- Arson and fire setting;
- Sexual offences;
- Dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud);
- Deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception);
- Making false declarations;
- Violent crimes and crimes against the person;
- Malicious damage and destruction to property
- Trafficking of narcotic substance;
- False alarm raising.
Desirable Requirements
- A minimum 4 years of industry experience
- Professional IT knowledge gained through satisfactory completion of a relevant course of study at a tertiary institution and appropriate industry certificates
- Experience with supporting critical 24x7 systems
- Qualifications in ITIL V3 methodology
- Current driver’s licence
