Job description:

Help to drive smarter systems for Tasmania’s revenue, licensing, and regulatory services. Support and enhance business systems that underpin these critical services, working across the full lifecycle, from analysing requirements and testing changes, to publishing clear, compliant website content and providing hands-on support for system users. You will manage access, monitor performance, resolve issues, and assist in implementing practical improvements and efficiencies that will simplify system administration and compliance while accelerating service delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to keep systems reliable, user-friendly, and future-ready.

About You

Treasury is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our Revenue and Regulatory Services Division to help support and enhance critical business systems that underpin Tasmania’s revenue, licensing, and regulatory services.

You have experience in system support or business analysis and can work confidently across technical and non-technical audiences. You’re motivated and capable, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, and you enjoy variety, including system management and analysis, implementing and testing enhancements, content management, and providing hands-on user support.

You want to make a real impact on Tasmania’s revenue, grants, liquor licensing, and gaming systems. If you’re collaborative, detail-oriented, and excited about improving systems that matter to every Tasmanian, this role is for you.

About the Branch

The Revenue Branch manages collection of taxation for the State. The branch administers a number of grants, determines taxation objections and ensures that taxpayers are compliant with State taxation and grant legislation.

Hours per fortnight

Up to 73.5 - hours flexible - talk to us about how this could work for you. We are open to considering a range of flexible work options including part time hours.
