Period of Appointment
18 months.
Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties
- Manage and/or contribute to the development, delivery, implementation and review of designated polices and projects.
- Prepare a range of documentation including project plans, correspondence, reports, and communications material.
- Research and analyse policy issues and contribute to the development of draft advice, support, and submissions to relevant authorities, ensuring alignment with the Tasmanian NPM’s published expectations and driving strategic initiatives to enhance organisational compliance and performance.
- Liaise, coordinate, and collaborate with team members across the broader Office as well as with external stakeholders.
- If required, attend examination activities and employ relevant investigation methodologies in places where children and young people are deprived of their liberty.
- Undertake other duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.

- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment).

The Head of State Service has determined that the person nominated for this vacancy is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.

- Pre-employment (National Police Record) checks for: Arson and fire setting, violent crimes and crimes against the person, sex-related offences, drug and alcohol related offences, crimes involving dishonesty, deception and/or conspiracy, making false declarations, malicious damage and destruction to property, serious traffic offences, crimes against public order or relating to the Administration of Law and Justice, Executive or the Legislative Power.
