Job description:
Provide day to day management of the accounts payable/receivable team and general financial activities of the Department of Justice in accordance with Government and Departmental financial policies, procedures and relevant legislation. Provide specialist clerical and administrative duties as required.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties
- Process accounts and record transactions in accordance with Government and Departmental financial, procedures and relevant legislation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Reconcile creditors' statements and follow-up issues as required.
- Respond to enquiries from debtors, creditors and departmental officers relating to processing of transactions.
- Monitor and triage shared finance inboxes daily, action enquiries, allocate items to the appropriate officer, maintain service-level turnarounds, and archive/flag correspondence in line with records and privacy requirements.
- Filing of manual and electronic financial records.
- Assist Senior Finance Officers to deliver day- to- day tasks as required.
- Any other duties as directed by the Coordinator Accounting Operations.

- Pre-employment (National Police Record) checks for: Arson and fire setting, violent crimes and crimes against the person, sex-related offences, drug and alcohol related offences, crimes involving dishonesty, deception and/or conspiracy, making false declarations, malicious damage and destruction to property, serious traffic offences, crimes against public order or relating to the Administration of Law and Justice, Executive or the Legislative Power.
