The Parks & Wildlife Service acts as both Tasmania’s biggest land manager and one of the most significant tourism operators, making a significant contribution to the state’s brand and capacity to deliver experiences. It is responsible for managing Tasmania’s parks and reserves and for protecting the State’s unique natural heritage while at the same time providing for the sustainable use and economic opportunities for the Tasmanian community.
The role of General Manager (Landscape Programs) is an exciting senior leadership opportunity to provide strategic leadership to guide the policy, planning and strategic framework that protects Tasmania’s treasured natural and cultural landscapes. This pivotal role leads the Landscape Program team, the central hub for statewide policy, planning, compliance, fire management and specialist advice within the Parks & Wildlife Service.
To succeed in this role, you will be an accomplished leader, an outstanding communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and have a natural ability to influence and engage at all levels.
Relevant tertiary qualifications are desired or demonstration of an equivalent level of skills together with a proven record of management in a large private or public sector organisation.
The role is a Senior Executive position for a period of up to 5 years and offers an attractive remuneration package, which incorporates salary ranging from $183,884 to $202,163 p.a., plus 12% superannuation and private use of a fully maintained vehicle.
