Job description:
Manage field operations, protect natural and cultural values, and support communities in Tasmania’s North West.

About the role
As a Ranger, you’ll assist the Ranger-in-Charge to manage field centre operations and resources in Stanley. You will:
- Oversee day-to-day field operations and resource management.
- Develop and implement operational plans and procedures.
- Supervise and support staff and volunteers, including training.
- Undertake compliance, investigations and enforcement activities.
- Respond to fire, critical incidents, and emergencies, including First Aid.

Hours per fortnight
76.0 hours per fortnight (minimum 60.8 hours, by negotiation).
Essential requirements
- A minimum of five years’ experience in reserve management, or equivalent.
- A workplace Level 2 First Aid Certificate, or equivalent.
To access Band 4 Range 2 salary levels the following qualification is essential:
- A Diploma in Conservation and Land Management or other qualifications deemed equivalent.
Desirable requirements
- A Diploma in Conservation and Land Management, or other qualifications deemed equivalent.
- A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
