Job description:

Work collaboratively across the business to deliver holistic partnerships with key travel distributors that are inclusive of tactical campaigns, engagement and training initiatives, familiarisations and product development to deliver positive outcomes for the Tasmanian tourism industry.

We are looking for a Trade, Partnership and International Coordinator who can support the team to deliver the agency’s strategic objectives.  Partnership and engagement with the travel trade will develop the range and depth of products on offer in key markets and deliver high value visitation, dispersal and year-round travel from domestic and international markets.

As a member of the Trade, Partnerships and International team, you will work with the team to deliver sector or market specific travel distribution partnerships, ensuring the right message is delivered at the right time and in the right place to our target audiences and delivering greater value to the Tasmanian tourism industry.

We are looking for experienced marketing professionals who thrive when working on campaign coordination and delivery.  In this role you will work collaboratively across the business to deliver holistic partnerships with key travel distributors that are inclusive of tactical campaigns, engagement and training initiatives, familiarisations and product development to deliver positive outcomes for the Tasmanian tourism industry.

If you enjoy executing campaigns and working in the exciting world of destination marketing, we would love to hear from you.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Implementing Tourism Tasmania’s partnership marketing activity, working across a variety of projects including market and sector specific campaigns and trade engagement opportunities.
  • Working closely with the Head of Trade, Partnerships and International as well as in an agile capacity with the rest of the team on specific projects that drive our objectives forward.
  • Ensuring assets, copy and messaging for any campaign or project are on brand and to specification, championing the Agency’s brand at all levels of partnership.
  • Providing mid and end of campaign or project reporting, assessing data to deliver insights for future campaigns and partnerships.

What you'll work on

  • Tactical campaigns that drive visitation, spend and dispersal in Tasmania with a number of trade and access partners simultaneously.
  • Engagement and development activities that support our partners to sell more of Tasmania to our target customer, including but not limited to presenting on Tasmania as a destination at trade events and representing Tourism Tasmania at relevant industry or events.
  • Collaborative campaigns with other teams across the business and in particular with the wider Marketing team on campaigns for domestic and international audiences.
  • Ownership of marketing calendars and delivery of milestones on time, to spec and budget.
  • Timely reporting on campaign performance, and insights on improvement and innovations.
  • Support for other Trade, Partnerships and International work programs as required.

Who you are

You are a creative thinker that enjoys connecting and collaborating with people. You have exceptional attention to detail and understand the importance of delivering outcomes and working to deadlines.  You love working on tactical marketing campaigns but can bring your people skills to the fore to deliver partnerships
beyond the tactical.

You have a strong connection with and passion for Tasmania and the Tourism Tasmania brand.  Your ability to tap into our brand, our destination and our on-ground experience and bring that to life for our partners, will be what gets you going every day.
