Job description:
The Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of all compliance and surveillance aspects of the Monitoring and Compliance Unit (MCU). They are accountable for the provision of high-quality service delivery which includes a range of leadership, supervisory, administrative and operational responsibilities.
This role provides direct supervision of staff, undertakes tasking, and ensures that service standards and requirements are met. The Supervisor is required to manage risk and safety and make high level decisions in relation to alerts and violations associated with offenders on Electronic Monitoring. The incumbent requires sound decision making and resource allocation skills.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight (permanent shift work) - flexible options available.
Duties
- Coordinate the management of offender compliance, surveillance and electronic monitoring.
- Manage a team of staff, develop rosters and ensure tasks and responsibilities are allocated and coordinated to best meet service delivery, quality standards and time frames.
- Provide feedback, supervision, guidance and mentoring to staff, undertake performance management and development. Support training and on-going development of knowledge, competence and professional judgement.
- Provide assistance and advice to the Manager, Monitoring and Compliance Unit on operational, administrative and staffing matters.
- Undertake quality management functions including conducting audits and reviews to ensure adherence to policies and procedures and the delivery of effective outcomes.
- Contribute to business planning processes, developing and reviewing program functions, systems, policies and procedures.
- Contribute to effective offender supervision, care and management through coordination and communication with case management staff to manage risk and offender behaviours.
- Consult with appropriate staff and stakeholders in regard to MCU operations and service delivery.
