Job description:

The senior business analyst will contribute to the successful delivery of ICT projects by providing domain specialist skills and knowledge, and developing a critical understanding of the specific business needs of affected stakeholders.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available. 

Duties

  • Analyse the business objectives of the stakeholder and develop solutions to their business issues.
  • Develop business requirements specifications and related procurement documents, use cases, user stories/scenarios, process workflows and other process documentation.
  • Undertake business analysis tasks during project execution phase associated with requirements lifecycle management, such as:
    • Lead design workshops/discovery workshops with system integrators, service designers and developers;
    • Elicit, analyse, document, manage, and communicate requirements throughout the project;
    • Ensure that all requirements defined for a project/system are delivered and verified; and
    • Manage requirements variations by assessing the impact, prioritising the changes and managing the change approval tasks.  
  • Effectively co-ordinate and undertake small size projects to achieve objectives in a structured and formalised manner.
  • Liaise with external suppliers, other Agencies and other areas of this Agency involved in the implementation of changes impacted by specific projects.
  • Assist with the development of information to be used to prepare business cases or options papers for future projects.
  • The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.

Desirable Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
