Job description:

The Fixed-Term and Casual Employment Register is established to provide PAHSMA with a pool of experienced and skilled people who are available for work at short notice. Please note that some positions may require pre-employment checks or the ability to fulfill essential requirements.

Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority – Tourism Operations Employment Register

This Register will remain open to applicants until 1 June 2027.

Please note a fixed-term and casual employment register is not a vacancy and inclusion on a register does not guarantee any offer of employment will be made. PAHSMA is responsible for conserving, managing and presenting the heritage value of our sites, as well as maintaining modern facilities and infrastructure. Our Tourism operations staff help share our stories and ensure visitors have a great experience. Our tourism operations help generate some of the revenue we need to ensure we can conserve, manage and present our sites. Our Tourism operations staff play a vital role in delivering high-quality experiences to the public. Roles within this team may include:

Visitor Services Officer

Salary Range - $66,495 to $80,729 per annum – Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority Award - Rostered Day Worker GS Band 1.

Food & Beverage Assistant

Salary Range - $66,495 to $80,729 per annum – Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority Award - Rostered Day Worker GS Band 1.

Tour Guide

Salary Range - $83,458 to $89,821 per annum – Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority Award - Rostered Day Worker GS Band 2.

Retail Assistant

Salary Range - $66,495 to $80,729 per annum – Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority Award - Rostered Day Worker GS Band 1.

Retail Supervisor

Salary Range - $93,479 to $101,044 per annum – Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority Award - Rostered Day Worker GS Band 3.

Warehouse officer

Salary Range - $93,479 to $101,044 per annum – Port Arthur Historic Site Management Authority Award - Rostered Day Worker GS Band 3.

Essential Requirements

  • Right to Work in Australia
  • Some position may require formal qualifications, licences, registrations, etc.
  • Some positions may require a pre-employment medical assessment
