Job description:
Contribute to the Department’s objectives and outcomes by developing, coordinating and managing the framework for the Agency’s web-based business practices and by providing leadership and guidance to the Web Services Branch.
Provide specialist advice on the development and coordination of the delivery of the Agency’s Internet, Intranet and Workspace pages and external websites using the Agency’s content management system.
Manage and coordinate the delivery of the Department’s online content, including web and digital media, by providing strategic advice and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the Department’s objectives and outcomes are met.

Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties
- Manage the financial, information, human and physical resources of the Web Services Branch in accordance with Government and departmental policies, guidelines and directions and ensure that the Branch meets defined standards and agreed objectives.
- Lead and manage the Web Services team in the day-to-day management of tasks associated with the department’s online presence.
- Develop policies and procedures relating to the Department’s web and digital publishing practices in consultation with the Chief Information Officer and other stakeholders.
- Socialise and promote policy requirements to departmental staff to enhance their understanding of and responsibilities for web publishing in the Department.
- Manage the Department’s web publishing platform by providing systems administration, including software upgrades, patching and access management in consultation with the vendor, ICT Services and other stakeholders.
- Manage the delivery of high quality, timely and professional service to clients and stakeholders through the provision of:
- web support desk services
- training and self-directed learning resources
- consultation, advice and reporting and
- developer services
- Contribute to the strategic direction and planning for the Department’s web services, in line with relevant policies, guidelines and procedures by providing specialist advice to senior management and other identified stakeholders on emerging trends and issues that may impact the management and operation of websites and other online technologies for the Department.
- Represent the Department on whole-of-government and inter-agency web publishing forums.
- Perform other duties as envisaged by the assigned classification under the relevant industrial award or agreement and in accordance with the skills, competence and training of the occupant.

- Relevant tertiary/professional qualifications.
