Job description:

The Design and Digital Coordinator plays a key role in Brand Tasmania’s communications activities. The Design and Digital Coordinator develops and implements a wide range of digital content and materials, including managing and maintaining website and social media channels to effectively support Brand Tasmania’s functions and objectives. The Design and Communications Coordinator works closely with all Brand Tasmania team members and with our partners in and out of Government to unify our efforts in trade, tourism, workforce attraction, investment attraction, student attraction, and community building.

Period of Appointment

12 month fixed term contract

Hours per fortnight

Up to 73.5 hours

Duties

  1. Design and produce high quality materials, including print, multimedia, and digital media content within brand guidelines.
  2. Provide specialist services in the writing, designing, and editing of content for web pages, social media, presentations, documents, reports, and communication products.
  3. Research, analysis, surveys and reporting of matters relevant to Brand Tasmania’s communications activities and products, including web analytics, social media and other data collection.
  4. Develop and implement social media strategies that increase Brand Tasmania’s reach and engagement across social media channels.
  5. Plan, coordinate, and undertake administrative and operational tasks associated with contributing to and implementing agreed communication strategies, including project management.
  6. Engage external graphic design, writers, photographers, videographers, media production, printers and other specialists where necessary.
  7. As a member of a small and dynamic team, support other general activities as required.
  8. The incumbent can expect to be allocated duties, not specifically mentioned in this document, that are within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from persons occupying positions at this classification level.

  • University degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
  • Registration to work with vulnerable people.
