Job description:

Kick start your career with NRE Tas by participating in the Graduate Development Program as a Graduate Finance Analyst.

About the role

As Graduate Finance Analyst, you’ll contribute to the Department’s annual budget development and management process.

  • Prepare financial reports and analysis.
  • Provide advice and technical support on contemporary financial management.
  • Work with essential financial systems and engage with stakeholders to support the department’s financial processes.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).

Period of appointment

12 months.

Pre employment Checks

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.

The following check is to be conducted:

  • Conviction check for Crimes involving Dishonesty.

Essential requirements

  • Have graduated with a minimum of a three-year undergraduate or completed a postgraduate degree in the last two years or have graduated by the end of January 2025 (qualifying degrees as rated by the Australian Qualifications Framework are at level 7 or above) in a relevant discipline.

Desirable requirements

  • Eligible for membership of CPA Australia, Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, or other professional accounting body.
