Duties
• Supervise staff responsible for payroll, personnel functions and the Human Resource Management System (HRMS), providing assistance as required.
• Prepare correspondence on payroll and personnel matters and assist in the verification of HRMS report information and undertake more complex payroll and personnel-related processes.
• Ensure integrity of processed data in accordance with established procedures and deadlines.
• Liaise with management, staff and external clients on payroll issues and entitlements.
• Provide ongoing training to staff in processing HR transactions using software packages and other relevant computer systems.
• Provide support to the Manager Payroll Services.

The Head of the State Service has determined that a person nominated for appointment to this position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer. Any relevant serious criminal offence or repeated serious offences over any period, which are not mitigated by additional information, may provide grounds for declining an application for appointment. - Dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud);
- Deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception);

- Malicious damage and destruction to property
- Trafficking of narcotic substance;
- False alarm raising.
Desirable Requirements
Knowledge and expertise consistent with qualifications recognised at Diploma and Advanced Diploma or equivalent level.
