Hours per fortnight
73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.
Duties
- Provide authoritative specialist advice and training to Outputs on procurement and tender related matters and review procurements submitted to the Procurement Review Committee (PRC) for compliance with Treasurer’s Instructions, Departmental policies and procedures and other applicable requirements. An alternate member of the PRC.
- Prepare and provide expert advice on contracts and tenders to ensure that the Department successfully engages high quality suppliers and contractors and meets the Government’s procurement policy guidelines.
- Maintain the contracts register and manage and report on all contracts awarded by the Agency, as well as exemptions issued under the Treasurer’s Instructions to the Department of Treasury and Finance.
- Provide specialist consultative advice and support in respect of the Department’s owned and leased property portfolio including negotiation and instruction to Crown Law in the preparation of contract documentation.
- Respond to complex queries and provide high level support and expert advice across a broad range of corporate support services and prepare high level correspondence, reports and recommendations, including where necessary the development and maintenance of related policies and procedures, to the Manager Procurement and Property and departmental outputs.
- Oversee the Department’s Essential Maintenance Program and coordination and management of property related issues across multiple accommodation sites.
- Work collaboratively with, and provide high level client service and support to internal and external key stakeholders.
- Provide advice, support and assistance to the Facilities Officer with the provision and coordination of administrative support services and facility services for the Department as required.
- Undertake corporate or other projects with significant property or procurement implications and other duties as assigned by the Director Finance or the Manager Procurement and Property.
Desirable Requirements
- Knowledge and/or experience in contemporary Government procurement and property management practices.
- A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
